07/5/2012 - Construction Update: Rufi Twin Towers, Dubai Sports City (MAY)
After a slightly promising month in April with mobilisation of the site on a particular day todays inspection shows no sign of any progress. No machinery, labourers or trucks were seen on site.
Dubai Sports City has some work progressing however many buildings are still deserted and in a similar situation to Rufi Twin Towers. Landscaping is complete in some parts as well as the roads and street lighting.

12/4/2012 - Construction Update: Rufi Twin Towers, Dubai Sports City (APR)
On an inspection visit prompted by the developer machinery was seen on site and some work had commenced on the 17th floor. However this was very minimal machinery and trucks. Projects in general are taking shape around Sports City which is a good indicator for the local market but still need full government support this year.
This is the first positive sign from Rufi in over a year but needs to be closely monitored on a weekly basis to confirm the speed of constructionand the continuity of the work.
More pictures can be found of very minimal work occuring on our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/lihestate
20/3/2012 - Construction Update: Rufi Twin Towers, Dubai Sports City (MARCH)
There still seems to be no work happening on the site. After a meeting with someone at Rufi we have been informed that work will start after 2 weeks and that realistically the building will be complete in about 18 months - although these are "unconfirmed dates" according to the Rufi representative.25/1/2012 - Construction Update: Rufi Twin Towers, Dubai Sports City (JAN)
At the time of inspection no works seemed to have re-started. The structure seems to have remained unchanged since the last inspection and no workmen, heavy machinery seems to be on site. Security of Dubai Sports City claims no work has started and the sit has been empty for many months now. The plot security (hired by Rufi themselves) also concurs with this statement.
Rufi Real Estate were approached for comment however no-one was available to speak and our previous contact is also not responding to us.
